Assorted list of (hidden) features

for advanced users

Name
Description
Start with point 0 for every "module" EOD usually fills the point list up to 350. If this option is activated, EOD will start with point 0 for every object. This is useful for all who want to edit the API/SCM file.
(Menu project->options->special options)
No BitBlt in texture selection  This option deactivates the zoom window in the texture dialog box. Some graphic card drivers have problems with the zoom window.
(Menu project->options->special options)
Minimize macro code Repeated objects will only be described once in the API/SCM file. This works only if two or more objects are exactly the same, only the X,Y and Z coordinate can be different. This feature won't work with custom objects and landing bases.
(Menu project->options->special options)
Rotate Roof-object by 90° For everybody who thinks that the roof object is not useful if it is not rotated by 90°.
(Menu project->options->special options)
Set ZBias=1 for wall and extended wall Will set the drawing priority to 1 instead of 0 for walls. This is useful to make numbers and signs on houses.
(Menu project->options->special options)
Warn user before opening a second instance of EOD EOD.exe can be opended several times, which is dangerous when you open the same file several times.
(Menu project->options->special options)
Allow Reverse a/ai feature You can use the Reverse a/ai feature if activated
(Menu project->options->special options)
Allow rel. RefPoint Relative Reference Point means, that you can move the objects center point (green point). This is useful for the "soft shading" feature.
Allow 1° steps for object rotation EOD rotates the objects in 5-degree-steps for a easier and faster operation. Activate this feature if you prefer 1° steps.
Reverse a/ai Use this feature if you have problems with wrong sided textures. E.g. a "inside" texture is outside.
(Texture dialog box)
Macro symbol type Defines how EOD should draw the macro symbol. The macro symbol is displayed in the scenery design program. The macro symbol for EOD macros is a simple rectangle.
The option "Airport 2.6" uses the ";DesignShape" command in the API file.
The option "SCC" draws the symbol with a Scasm polygon which won't be visible in FlightSimulator.
(Menu project->options->special options)
Positions and dimensions over 1500 EOD support positions (X, Y & Z coordinates) and dimensions (parameters) up to about 32000 and -32000. To make use of such extreme values, you need to type them in manually. The scrollbars will end by 1500.
Never use automatic texture coordinates calculation Avoids the usage of a/ai tags in the API code. This option should be activated.
(Menu project->options->special options)
Manual vector calculation See above. This option should be activated
(Menu project->options->special options)
Rotates textures with the object If this option is not selected, the textures will not be rotated with the object. This option is used to get compatibility with old EOD files, where some 'custom object' and 'cylinder'-textures weren't rotated with the object.
Normally, this option should be activated.
